NanoCoffee is designed with user privacy as a core principle. The Extension collects the following types of data:

• Text Content: When activated on supported social media websites (e.g., X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Substack), NanoCoffee reads the visible text content of posts, articles, and comments for the sole purpose of generating summaries, writing contextual replies, or rewriting/improving your content.
• User Interaction Data: The Extension observes user interactions such as clicks on summary buttons or AI writing tool buttons to trigger its functionality.

NanoCoffee does NOT collect any Personal Identifiable Information (PII), such as your name, email address, IP address, browsing history (beyond the content being processed), or any other data that could identify you personally. The Extension does not require user accounts or logins.

2. Data Usage

The data collected by NanoCoffee is used exclusively for its intended purpose:

• On-Device AI Processing: The text content read from social media pages is processed locally on your device using Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano AI. This means your data never leaves your device for summarization, content generation, rewriting, or other AI assistance.
• Displaying Results: AI-generated summaries, replies, and rewritten content are displayed directly within your browser for you to review, edit, and use as you wish.

No user data is sent to external servers, including those operated by the developer or any third parties.

3. Data Sharing

NanoCoffee does NOT share any user data with any third parties. Since all processing occurs locally on your device, there is no data to share.

4. Data Storage

• Temporary Cache: For performance optimization, NanoCoffee may temporarily cache generated summaries and AI-generated content within your browser's memory during your active browsing session. This cache is ephemeral and is cleared when you close the tab or browser.
• No Persistent Storage: NanoCoffee does not persistently store any user data on your device (e.g., in local storage, IndexedDB) or on any remote servers.

5. Website Analytics

This Privacy Policy applies to the NanoCoffee Chrome Extension. Please note that our website (nanocoffee.ruidiao.dev) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the site. Google Analytics collects information such as:

• Pages visited and time spent on the site
• Browser and device information
• General geographic location (country/city level)
• Traffic sources and referral information

This data is collected solely for the website and is completely separate from the Chrome Extension. The Extension itself does not use Google Analytics or any tracking services. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
